Our Making Process

Design with Meaning

A glimpse into the quiet, intentional rhythm behind every knot.

Every TALEE piece begins with a story - whether its a memory, a moment in nature, or a quiet connection between hands and materials. Each knot is more than a form - It's emotions, message and intention translated into wearable art.

We work only with high-quality fiber-base materials carefully sourced from France, Peru, and The United States - chosen for it's strength, softness and longevity. These materials are carefully selected to ensure our materials are lightweight, washable, colour fade resistance and built to last, without compromising on comfort or craft.

Our Egyptian Cotton threads are Oeko-Tex certified. Product certified Oeko-Tex® STANDARD 100, N° CQ 514/2, IFTH

Our Peruvian Pima Cotton is sourced from a family owned factory in Seattle that have been making & producing high quality premium wool & cotton since 1987.

Handcrafted, Always.

Each piece is 100% handmade in our studio in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah by our small team. From our first knot to the finishing touch, every piece is produced in-house with patience and care. Depending on the intricacy of the design, it take 3-5 business days to complete each pair - no two ever exactly alike.

We embrace a slow, intentional process - because good things take time. Our knotting method honor both traditional and artistry, ensuring every piece holds the kind of quiet luxury only handcrafted work can offer.

Sustainable by Nature.

Our approach to low-waste by design. Every piece is made-to-order and made in small batches with minimal excess, packaged in recyclable and reusable materials. its our way of caring for both the wearer and the world they move through.
